What Is Forestry Mulching? Forestry mulching is one of the most efficient ways to clear land. Using a skid steer with a mulching head, we grind trees, brush, and stumps directly into wood chips in a single pass. There's no burning, no hauling, and no separate stump grinding bill — and the mulch left behind actually helps stabilize the soil and suppress regrowth. It's faster than traditional clearing, better for the soil, and leaves your land clean and ready to grade, seed, or build on.

What We Clear : Wooded lots and overgrown fields. Fence lines and property perimeters, Rights-of-way and access lanes. Brushy creek banks and low areas. Land being prepped for construction or farming.

Traditional Land Clearing: For larger trees or projects where the wood needs to be removed rather than mulched, we also offer conventional land clearing — felling, pushing, piling, and hauling material off-site. We'll recommend the right approach based on your land, your budget, and what you plan to do with the property afterward.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What's the difference between forestry mulching and traditional land clearing?

Forestry mulching grinds everything on-site into chips in one pass — faster, no burning, and no hauling. Traditional clearing involves cutting, pushing, and removing material off the property. Mulching is usually more cost-effective for light to medium brush and small trees; traditional clearing may be better for heavy timber.

Will forestry mulching kill the roots so brush doesn't come back?

Mulching grinds the above-ground material and the stump down to ground level, which significantly slows regrowth. On very aggressive species like hedge apple or persimmon, some regrowth may occur. We can advise on what to expect based on what's growing on your property.

Can you clear land near fences or structures without damaging them?

Yes. We work carefully around existing fences, outbuildings, and landscaping. Let us know during the estimate what you need protected.
